Miss Barbra was pleased with herself. She had finagled a whole week off from work and planned on spending the entire time at the beach. This was what her Dennis, her son, had asked for his ninth birthday. She was glad to be able to do it. She had felt guilt in the past for the time she spent on the job and she felt like this was a good start in making up for it.
