Learning Women’s Ways at Grandma’s House

When I was young my Grandmother treated all of the grandchildren the same. She taught us all to cook, clean, dust, iron, fold and put away the clothes. That meant all of the clothes including her underclothes. She did not make us do it. She had a gift which allowed her to make each job seem like it was fun and make us want to do it. She also paid us a nickel or a dime. I grew up during the late 60’s and early 70’s and at this time men did not do things like that.
