Mary had a problem – an embarrassing, intimate problem. Over the past week or so she had become conscious of an irritation which had slowly increased to the present almost unbearable stage, and at the same time a smelly discharge had appeared. Eventually, of course, her mother noticed the girl’s discomfort and called the doctor.
“Put a skirt on, dear, it will make things easier for you.”
There was an obvious reason for the mode of dress, and Mary followed her mother into the doctor’s office with a sinking
